Community

The American Planning Association measures community character by three metrics for all of us: live, work, and play, natural resources, and demographics. Downtown could benefit from revitalization. There are opportunities to maximize city-owned parcels and optimize population density. The Parks Master Plan reported our vast inventory of underutilized green open spaces. Pinole is the fifth most diverse city in the United States. Our leadership, facilities, and programs should reflect that. I will collaborate with stakeholders to create policies to support small businesses while attracting new development. Collaborating will stimulate economic growth, create a vibrant community, and increase revenue that will be reinvested into Pinole. The revenue will create more robust programming for the youth, seniors, and everyone in between.
